Assessment Centres
Assessments for the occupational qualifications are done at assessment centres. For internal assessments, the SDP is recognised as the assessment centre. External assessment centres are accredited by the QCTO for the purpose of conducting EISA for registered occupational qualifications. An application to become an assessment centre must be submitted to the relevant AQP, which in the case of the ministry qualifications is ACRP. Interested applicants should familiarise themselves with the following documents before applying for accreditation:
- QCTO Policy on Accreditation of Assessment Centres and Sites which inter alia identifies the minimum criteria for the accreditation of an assessment centre and the assessment centre accreditation process.
- Pro forma contract between an Assessment Centre and the AQP
- Pro forma contract between an Assessment Centre and Assessment Site
- Other SAQA and QCTO policy documents related to RPL and to internal and external assessment are also available from the SAQA and QCTO websites.
