The following programmes, courses and material have been approved and accredited by ACRP for CPD purposes. (Affiliates and providers of training programmes and material are advised to peruse the ACRP CPD Guidelines document).

Ministry or theology related lectures, presentations, symposiums, conferences or short courses

ACRP recognises for CPD purposes the attendance of lectures, presentations, symposiums, conferences or short courses, as well as the development of contributions to these events. Presentations or lectures accepted for such events, and the development of a short course, are also recognised. Events recognised by ACRP for this purpose are listed below.

ACRP also recognises for CPD purposes when an affiliate attends and effectively progresses with a ministry / theology related qualification accredited with SAQA, or accredited for structured CPD purposes by ACRP. Points will be awarded based on a progress report and certificate of compliance issued by the training provider.

ACRP recognised academic magazine

ACRP recognises for CPD puposes the authoring, or reading with feedback as agreed with editorial staff, of articles published in ACRP recognised academic magazines. The review of articles will also be recognised upon confirmation of the editor that an article has been reviewed by an affiliate.

Magazines recognised by ACRP for this purpose are listed here.

CPD approved, ministry / theology related books

ACRP recognises for CPD purposes the authoring, or reading in full and submitting a brief summary, of the books related to ministry or theology. An affiliate may apply for a book to be recognised by submitting a copy of the title page and table of contents, together with the brief summary which should not exceed one A4 page with around 500 words; and an evaluation of half an A4, indicating what facet of ministry the book is relevant to, and a rating (score out of 10) of how relevant the book is for continued professional development purposes within that facet of ministry. The summary should end with the words “I hereby confirm that I have read this book in full and that this summary was prepared by myself”, and signed by the affiliate.

Books which have already been approved for CPD purposes upon the request of affiliates are listed here. An affiliate who selects a book from the “already approved” list needs not resubmit the copy of the title page and table of content, but should submit his or her own signed summary.
